Today's vote against a public vaping ban is great news. In order to keep this from coming up again we as a community must hold ourselves and other vapor user accountable to a common standard of etiquette. If you are going to be in a restaurant for instance, be discreet and be aware of those people around you and consider asking them. Ask management if you are unsure of their policy. If we can do all do this we will keep this from coming up again.

Please remember to be polite when you vape... Please, don't vape large clouds of smoke in the stores, just because you can. I am sure the city will revisit this issue and ban it altogether if you do. Don't mess it up for all of us..Please...

Attention all Abilene area Vapers, tomorrow is the city council meeting to decide the ordinance proposal to ban vaping in all public spaces. The meeting starts at 8:30AM. Please come to the meeting and share your personal stories about how vaping helped you quit or reduce your smoking. The city officials need to hear personal stories before they make this terrible ruling. Let your voices be heard so we can change their mind.
